Practicing as a family physician in rural medicine provides you with a lifelong opportunity for learning and growth. You get the opportunity to build close relationships with patients over a long period of time. You may even get the opportunity to deliver the children of the infant you delivered years prior. In addition living in a rural community typically results in a lower cost of living.
